Introduction

Welcome to the Dependable Distributed Embedded Systems (DDEmS) Laboratory in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in Mashhad, Iran. Nowadays, distributed embedded systems are employed in many safety & mission critical applications. In these applications, dependability attributes (Reliability, Availability, Safety, Maintainability, Testability, etc.) are primary design objectives. The DDEmS Laboratory conducts research on the design of dependable distributed embedded systems. Special emphasis is placed upon the development of techniques and tools for dependability evaluation and improvement. We are concerned with the exploitation of systematic design and design automation techniques for industrial applications. Our research is performed in close cooperation with several recognized research groups and industrial partners. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

sedDr. Yasser Sedaghat received the B.Sc. degree from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, Iran, in 2004 and the M.Sc. & Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2006 & 2011, respectively. He is currently Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, and the director of the Dependable Distributed Embedded Systems (DDEmS) laboratory. His main research focus is on the development of techniques and tools that support the dependability attributes (Reliability, Availability, Safety, Maintainability, Testability, etc.) of safety & mission-critical distributed embedded systems.
